Trying Raising Cane’s in Its Hometown – A Fast Food Must!

(Photo: We loved the quality of the Chicken!)

We know it’s a fast food spot, but we just had to try Raising Cane’s while in New Orleans! If you’ve read our previous posts, you’ll remember that this chicken chain actually originated right here before expanding across the country. Seeing locations everywhere made it impossible to resist—we had to see what the hype was all about!

First Impressions

Walking in, the vibe was fun and inviting—it had that Red Robin-style décor, but with a New Orleans twist, featuring local sports team memorabilia. The menu was straightforward and simple, which we appreciated. No overwhelming choices—just chicken done right.

The Food

We ordered:

  • The Chicken Sandwich Combo 🍔
  • The Chicken Fingers Combo 🍗

The food came out fast, fresh, and hot—exactly what you want from a fast food spot. The chicken was top-notch, just like Chick-fil-A quality, with a crispy, well-seasoned breading and tender, juicy meat. The fries? Pretty standard, but the real game-changer? THE SAUCE.

The Sauce – The Star of the Show!

New Orleans knows how to do sauces, and Raising Cane’s is no exception. Their signature sauce had a nice little kick (black pepper seasoning, perhaps?) that paired perfectly with the fries, chicken, and even the Texas toast that came with the meal. We were seriously impressed! If only Raising Cane’s sold bottles of it—we would’ve stocked up for sure.

Final Thoughts

For a fast food joint, Raising Cane’s absolutely did not disappoint. We’re glad we gave it a try in its hometown, and honestly, we’d eat here again in a heartbeat. Now, if only they sold beignets… 🤔 Imagine Raising Cane’s-style beignets. That could be dangerously delicious.

Have you tried Raising Cane’s? What’s your go-to order? Let us know in the comments!
